Neutral Bay Blocked Stormwater, Done Properly

Private stormwater on your property, from downpipes to the boundary connection, is the owner's responsibility to maintain. Council owns the street-side stormwater system past that point.

North Sydney Council also sets rules around what can and can't drain to the street, so a fix sometimes means correcting where water was never meant to go in the first place.

Stormwater and sewer run as two completely separate systems, and telling them apart matters.

Rainwater backing up is stormwater; anything with sewage involved is blocked sewer territory instead. Recurring pooling in the same spot is worth a look with CCTV drain inspection before the next storm season lands.
